Shun Jie Seafood Restaurant in Batu Caves is widely appreciated for its flavorful and generous seafood dishes, particularly the curry fish and fresh prawns. The restaurant’s authentic local ambiance and diverse menu offerings attract a steady crowd, often resulting in busy dining hours and limited parking availability. While the overall dining experience is praised for tasty and well-prepared meals, some guests note a lively, noisy atmosphere and occasional language barriers with foreign waitstaff. Despite these minor challenges, Shun Jie remains a popular choice for those seeking hearty, satisfying seafood in a casual, bustling setting.

Foods are delicious & the portion is good. Seafood are nice especially the big prawn. The shop is always full house. Most waiters are foreigners with some language barrier but always approachable.

Food is delicious. Highly recommend the curry fish. Not like others, the fish has fried then only cook curry. Very gravy type.

**A Flavorful Feast at Shun Jie Seafood Restaurant, Batu Caves** Tucked away in Taman Bidara, Shun Jie Seafood Restaurant delivered a delightful surprise with its honest flavors and down-to-earth charm. From the moment we arrived, the place had that unmistakable local buzz — families chatting over steaming plates, the clatter of woks from the kitchen, and the comforting aroma of garlic, soy, and fresh seafood in the air. We ordered a spread that included their signature butter prawns, steamed fish with soy sauce, and stir-fried clams with chili and basil. Every dish came out piping hot and full of flavor — the seafood was fresh, the sauces well-balanced, and the portions generous. The butter prawns, in particular, were a standout: crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and coated in a rich, fragrant sauce that had us reaching for seconds. Service was friendly and efficient, with staff quick to recommend dishes and adjust spice levels to our liking. The environment was casual and family-friendly — nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable enough to settle in for a hearty meal. Prices were reasonable for the quality and portion size, making it a great spot for group dining or a weekend treat. Parking was manageable, and while the restaurant isn’t flashy, it’s the kind of place that wins you over with flavor and familiarity. If you’re in the Batu Caves area and craving honest, well-cooked Chinese-style seafood, Shun Jie is definitely worth a visit. Appreciate you stopping by! Good food have a lot variety of dishes. Most of the dish is tasty. Only need to time your dinner later. Super pack from 5.30pm to 7pm. Should try. Parking also an issue.

Newly renovated air-con area. Outside seating was super hot and stuffy. Curry fish head must order, stir fried pork was delicious and not to mentioned their duo chicken platter smoked and steamed chicken was heavenly yummy as well. Make advance booking or be early to beat the crowd.

No reservations required or accepted. However there’s lots of tables available. Parking is easy… And food is exceptionally good. Sadly didn’t take picture of the lala clams ordered. It’s was fresh and meaty cooked well in kam heong style. Their signature big prawns was mouth watering good. Bit pricy but worth it.
